Mungo Homes named homebuilding operations standout Ric Rojas as president of its newly created Mid-Atlantic region, a leadership role designed to support the company’s ongoing expansion.
Rojas, who joined the company on April 27, will be based in Mungo’s Raleigh office, the builder – one of Clayton‘s site-build multi-regional operators – announced.
Rojas, a Virginia Tech graduate, brings more than 32 years of development and homebuilding experience, including the last 20 years as a region and division president. He will oversee all operations in Mungo Homes’ Raleigh, Richmond and Triad markets. He will serve on both the Executive Leadership Team and Executive Operations Team, reporting to CEO Geoff Shiley.
“I have known Ric for many years and am confident he is an excellent cultural fit for our organization,” Shiley said. “Ric brings extensive national homebuilding experience, along with deep expertise in land development and acquisitions.”
“Mungo Homes has an impressive history of growth and has developed a culture that retains talent,” Rojas said. “I am excited to be a part of the Mungo family.”
The Mid-Atlantic region adds another layer to Mungo Homes’ regional leadership structure at a time when national builders are tightening execution and looking for scalable oversight in key growth markets.
The new region joins the company’s Coastal region, led by regional president Lee McLoud, and Central region, led by regional president Chris Condon, giving Mungo a three-region platform across its footprint. For builders and land sellers in the Carolinas and Virginia, the move signals that Mungo is positioning for additional community openings and land acquisitions across the Mid-Atlantic corridor.
